just to show what i mean about Ben falling asleep anywhere.....

Monday, May 12, 2008

i had such a great day yesterday.. (mothers day) I got to spend the whole afternoon with the people I love most in my world. my family. Even though it was really chilly we spent a lot of time outside. the kids drove around in there jeeps for a long time .

and then there was trampoline jumping. Max did a butt bounce and nearly touched the ground. Brady thought that was pretty cool. In the picture he is looking to see just how close Max will go.
Ryann kept telling me "look at your dad on the trampoline". i guess since Jamie calls Paul dad to them she must just assume a husband type would be "dad". I thought it was cute. She also called me dude which made me laugh.

while riding in the jeep with Brady,

Bennett took a little spill out the side, of course he cried, but it was kinda funny. One second he was there , the next he was on the side. Jamie was trying to make him feel better.

We had Jeff and Sara's birthdays also. I bought Jeff's big family present, it was a drill. woo-hoo. I guess that's what happens when you get old and get a house. Jamie had bought Sara's which I hadn't seen yet and i coveted it at once..

i might have to steal that one. Then Papa made us a wonderful Strawberry angel food cake treat, it was yummy. all in all it was a good day.. i am a lucky deedles

***not that all moments weren't great but this was my favorite. After Benny's tumble out of the jeep i went and pushed him on the swing so he would stop crying (because he wanted back in the jeep and there was no one to drive him) Max tried but he didn't fit, anyways, just in the middle of pushing he fell fast asleep. this boy can fall asleep anywhere it would seem. ***

Since there is technically no "mother"
in our home I decided to treat Max
to a breakfast in bed..

i was rewarded with a bunch of
fresh flowers from outside.

it was worth the work.. I love
that he picked these and now
our home smells Lilacy fresh!

last night , despite Max running a fever, we did it up Cinco de Mayo style.. I retrieved all our patio furniture out of the garage, plus a cool new rug, hung festive lights and made a super fun meal.
We had some yummy (I'll have to take Max's word for it) London broil, marinated with all sorts of stuff like garlic, chili powder, cumin and Worcestershire sauce, cheesy chili mashed potatoes, corn bread and a nice Mexican Cesar salad to top it off.. Max found some cool Mexican music on demand and we had a great night.

...of course Sophie was there to round out family meal time...

sunny skies * * and * * chuck *e* cheese

this weekend was nice enough to walk to the park to fly our kites. The Lewey's came with us, well Stacy anyway, and we had fun but not much luck in the flying department..

Max and Beau spent the whole time trying to un-tangle their kite..

the girls gave up and went to play

while Aiden and i relaxed in the grass

Sophie and Lyssie watched the boys

it was pretty fun...

then we went to a little place i like to call Hell on Earth..

Not really, but there a more crazy kids , and adults for that matter, there then i have ever seen.

Max didn't like it because he had to wait in line for the "kids" to get done

so HE could play the cool ride games...

we actually had a really great time and will go back

(someday when the memory has faded :)

Max however did contract some sorta virus around the time of our visit in Hell,

i mean Chuck * e * Cheese's, and has been really sick ever since.

Now i'm not saying that he got sick there but I

would recomend a good handwashing after every game... ;)
